20 Things I want for 2015

So it is the 30th December, the 2nd last day of the year. I was gonna do this post tomorrow but I am at work then seeing in the new year with my friends. I will be doing a 2014 review in the new year but I saw this trend on twitter so I thought I would do this...

1. To be more sociable with my friends
2. To put more effort into my uni work and less into my part time job, I am paying to get a degree after all
3. To spend less money
4. To be healthier and fitter
5. To be less self conscious
6. To spend more time thinking about my future eg. Masters degree, traveling etc
7. To take more pride in my appearance, I've already started: hair appointment booked for the 3rd January :P
8. To grow a bit more (if possible)
9. To spend a lot more time with my family, coming home to spend time with my grandparents etc
10. To continue my relationship with my boyfriend and go on holiday in the summer
11. To carry on volunteering with the students union and get involved in another society
12. To try and do more community work
13. To watch more films. I know this sounds silly but there are so many classic films that I haven't seen!
14. To try and stay positive about my life, people all around the world have it worse and would kill to have the life I am living now
15. To tray and indulge in my hobbies more
16. To get out in my car more and drive
17. To enjoy my last year as a teenager before I turn20 
18. To try and donate more of my own money to charity
19. To be more experimental with food and get more options for meal ideas other than just pasta
20. To enjoy my year and be as happy as I can be, taking every opportunity as it comes.

What do you want to achieve in the next year? Let me know in the comments below or Tweet me @Elisa_A__

Nars Sheer Glow Foundation and Radiant Creamy Concealer Review

When it comes to make up I always feel like the base is the one thing you need to get right to make the rest of your make up look good. That is why I always like to experiment with different primers, foundations, concealers and powders to find my ideal combinations for different occasions. After constantly seeing Nars Sheer Glow bombing around pretty much everywhere online, I decided to go into my local John Lewis (on more than one occasion) get colour matched. After toying between the samples of Deauville and Fiji for way too long, I decided to go back to John Lewis for one last time to get their opinion. After a problem in store, the girls on the counter decided to give me a full base makeover and, lets just say, I was very impressed and stuff went on my Christmas list.

Mani of the Month: Primark PS Nudes Nail Polish Set

It's no secret that I love painting my own nails. It's a way for me to relax as well as being therapeutic for me. I am often complimented on my nails and asked where I get them done, only to see their shock and surprise at the fact that I do them myself and that they aren't fake! I honestly feel like my choices of nail polish reflect how people react- if I am wearing a polish which looks streaky and tacky people notice, however when my nails are done well, and with good quality polishes which are 'on trend' colours then that is when I get the most compliments. And at the moment that 'on trend' colour is anything nude. I love nude nails, and for me, I really struggle to find the perfect nude nail polish; or any kind of nude beauty products for that matter! So when I was having a scout around good old Primarni, I came across this little set of nude nail polishes. They look lovely, don't they...

Review: School of Rock, a Broadway Musical

For my 21st Birthday I had the pleasure of being taken to New York City. My brother got a surprise birthday present for his 21st which was a holiday to Dubai, but I already knew about my 'surprise' holiday considering that I had been planning my New York trip since I was 16. The one thing I still hadn't agreed on what what theatre production to see; as a drama graduate and musical theatre lover it was a given that I would have to go and see a Broadway musical. If I had it my way, I would have seen a different musical every night I was in NYC, but that couldn't happen; my parents did want to have a surprise for me though. So on a nice sunny afternoon after visiting the Statue of Liberty, I was told that the following night that I would be going to see School of Rock at the Winter Garden Theatre on Broadway (SQUEAL!!).
