Where Have I Been...

Well, well, well... Long time, no see!

I really feel like I have abandoned this blog lately, and my reasoning can be summed up in just a few words. Final year uni student. This year has been absolutely insane, it's crazy that this is even the first blog post that I am writing in 2016! Ive had a whirlwind of a year, but it is all over now and all the hard work has paid off because I will be graduating University in 3 days with a First Class Honours degree!

My final year of university has been both one of the hardest and easiest things I have ever had to do in my life, my degree has been difficult at times but I have always ensured that I kept working hard, putting all my energy into anything university based; wether that be my degree, volunteering or being part of a society. Constantly being on autopilot and enjoying being busy around university has driven me to getting the best degree I can possibly get!

But my blog has had to take a back seat in all the commotion. However, it is the summer now and I want to get back into blogging, even if it is once a fortnight because I do enjoy it. However I do feel like I need to make afew changes to my blog to make it more relevant to who I am. I want to go through my old posts to make sure that are at the best standard that they can possibly be (spelling, grammar etc). I do also need to delete a few of the more personal posts that I have written; not because I want to, but mainly regarding my boyfriend due to his career choice and the circumstances surrounding that. Dont worry, we're still together!

So fingers crossed I have some ideas to refresh my blog and to keep it more updated and fresh. I have some posts planned about surviving your final year of university, based on my own experiences, and afew beauty related posts to! I honestly have missed blogging and I really hope I can get back into a routine and posting regular updates!

Much love!
Elisa :-) x

Nars Sheer Glow Foundation and Radiant Creamy Concealer Review

When it comes to make up I always feel like the base is the one thing you need to get right to make the rest of your make up look good. That is why I always like to experiment with different primers, foundations, concealers and powders to find my ideal combinations for different occasions. After constantly seeing Nars Sheer Glow bombing around pretty much everywhere online, I decided to go into my local John Lewis (on more than one occasion) get colour matched. After toying between the samples of Deauville and Fiji for way too long, I decided to go back to John Lewis for one last time to get their opinion. After a problem in store, the girls on the counter decided to give me a full base makeover and, lets just say, I was very impressed and stuff went on my Christmas list.

Mani of the Month: Primark PS Nudes Nail Polish Set

It's no secret that I love painting my own nails. It's a way for me to relax as well as being therapeutic for me. I am often complimented on my nails and asked where I get them done, only to see their shock and surprise at the fact that I do them myself and that they aren't fake! I honestly feel like my choices of nail polish reflect how people react- if I am wearing a polish which looks streaky and tacky people notice, however when my nails are done well, and with good quality polishes which are 'on trend' colours then that is when I get the most compliments. And at the moment that 'on trend' colour is anything nude. I love nude nails, and for me, I really struggle to find the perfect nude nail polish; or any kind of nude beauty products for that matter! So when I was having a scout around good old Primarni, I came across this little set of nude nail polishes. They look lovely, don't they...

Review: School of Rock, a Broadway Musical

For my 21st Birthday I had the pleasure of being taken to New York City. My brother got a surprise birthday present for his 21st which was a holiday to Dubai, but I already knew about my 'surprise' holiday considering that I had been planning my New York trip since I was 16. The one thing I still hadn't agreed on what what theatre production to see; as a drama graduate and musical theatre lover it was a given that I would have to go and see a Broadway musical. If I had it my way, I would have seen a different musical every night I was in NYC, but that couldn't happen; my parents did want to have a surprise for me though. So on a nice sunny afternoon after visiting the Statue of Liberty, I was told that the following night that I would be going to see School of Rock at the Winter Garden Theatre on Broadway (SQUEAL!!).
