Scubadiving in Hurghada, Egypt

If you have seen my Instagram lately, you will know that I have recently returned from a last-minute holiday to Egypt. Picture this: 23rd December working a 12hr shift during panto-season, have just cleaned up sick rolling down the wheelchair ramp and you get a text from your better half; a screen shot of an all-inclusive deal to Hurghada in Egypt for the start of 2018. "Book it" was my response, and half an hour later I had the confirmation. This was exactly what we both needed to recharge our batteries and spend some time together before we begin our first year uni-free. And, boy, was it a treat!

My Holiday Makeup Routine

As you are reading this I will be just returning from my holiday in Lanzarote! And as I am writing this I am currently packing (and procrastinating) for the holiday, so I thought I would take the opportunity to share with you some of my favourite makeup picks that I like to take abroad with me. I don't usually like to wear a lot of makeup when I go abroad, I get hot and clammy really quickly- lush, I know! So when it comes to holiday makeup I have a few easy rules that I like to follow. 1. Be minimal. 2. Pack light. 3. Pack cheap. I often go for simplicity when I am abroad, and only really wear a full face in the evening; during the day I barely do concealer, brows and mascara and a bit of tinted Vasaline. I also try and choose smaller products which won't be much hassle for me to take abroad and don't want to overwhelm myself when I am out there with too much makeup when I only need a quick fix. And finally, because I do travel with it, I will often go for high street ma...

Mine and Mammy's Theatre Weekend in London

It is no lie that I love London, even though I rarely ever go I feel right at home there and I can navigate the Underground like the back of my hand. Which was very necessary for travelling with my Mam who was clueless! Anyways, over the Christmas/New Year period after a few drinks when my mam drunkenly said to my dad "Elisa has been working really hard, me and her need to go on a theatre weekend in London" I may have taken advantage of this... Next thing I know first class train tickets are booked, a hotel for the night and theatre tickets to see Wicked!

Stand Up to Cancer Weekend in Manchester

I have always considered myself quite a charitable person, from being a Girl Guide to a university student. A lot of my spare time at university has been dedicated to the Student's Union fundraising strand Raise and Give, RAG for short, as a student committee member which I volunteer my time for. My role on RAG Committee involves planning and executing numerous fundraising events and activites throughout the year alonside other student volunteers and working closely with the SU staff to make our ideas a reality. Background done, every year we try to arrange an overnight stay in a UK city where students volunteer to raise money for a national chairity; which we call RAG Raids. This year we teamed up with Cancer Research UK and headed to Manchester to raise funds for the charity and raise awareness of Stand Up To Cancer day, which aptly took place on the day the TV show was being aired on Channel 4 later that evening.

Travel Journal: My American Adventure Part 2

Earlier this year, i went on Part 1 of my American Adventure to Florida with my boyfriend, only a few months later Part 2 with my family for my 21st birthday came around so quickly! So here we go, here is my trip to the Big Apple, New York City...

My Travel Bucket List

It is a very known fact that I love to travel. I enjoy seeing the world, exploring local cultures and indulging in the luxuries when I am away. I decided earlier this year that I wanted to try and visit 30 countries before I am 30 years old (just over 9 years until the deadline); and I always thought I was a well-traveled person. However after finding one of those online quizzes which tells you what percentage of the world you have visited and how many countries, I was quite underwhelmed when I discovered that I had only traveled 5.09% of the world, or 11 countries in my life of nearly 21 years. So that's 19 new countries in 9 years... Now I don't know if that goal is realistic, I don't have alot of money in the bank, but I will have a good crack at trying to achieve this goal! Anyways, this is what has inspired me to write this blog post; some of the countries I have visited before but not these particular areas of interest, so here is my bucket list of places I want to t...

Travel Journal: My American Adventure Part 1

Some of you may know from my Twitter or Instagram that I have been away to Florida with my boyfriend! The reason I have titled this travel journal as Part 1 is because this I am also going back to America in September, to New York for my 21st Birthday! I am going to pick up on my 'Travel Journal' series by telling you all about my visit to Orlando, Florida where I went to the Universal Parks, Disney and did lots of other fun and exciting things across the water!

Travel Journal: Salou

Day 1 4:15am Ugh... I'm not a morning person, I rarely see this time of the morning and I was fairly surprised at how bright the sky was. But it only got me excited and feeling more awake to have my summer holiday in Spain with my boyfriend! After deciding not to buy each other Christmas presents last year, we decided to put all our money towards a summer holiday so Merry Christmas! 5am Jack and his dad came to pick me up and take us to the airport. After a quick check in and swiftly making our way through security it gave me plenty of time to drag jack around duty free looking at all the makeup before we got breakfast. 7:45am Take off! Bye bye Newcastle! The 2 hour 40minute journey didn't take long at all thanks to Don't Tell The Bride.

What To Take On Holiday

AHHHHH!!! In 2 days I will be in sunny Spain! But I've still got to do the dreaded chore that always comes before getting on the plane to soak up the sunshine... Packing. Yes we all hate it, but its gotta be done. Every year I always end up writing lists of things I need to take, making sure I don't forget anything and frantically worrying that I've always forgotten something. So I thought I would make a list (because I love them so much) and put it on here and share with you what I like to take with me on my holiday. ESSENTIALS . The must haves before you even think about stepping foot onto the plane Passport Flight Information Boarding pass (if you do online check in) Travel insurance EHIC Card Foreign currency Phone and charger Travel adaptor Glasses ( if required )

Travel Journal: Dubai

After being back off holiday for at let's a week I have finally finished writing up my Dubai travel journal! Its been hard trying to juggle writing this and doing my uni essays so I'm sorry its late, but better late than never! I've posted a few pictures of the trip on my Instagram, but for now here's the holiday... WEDNESDAY 25th March Mid Morning So I came home from uni for the day as it was my brothers 21st birthday. Once he finally woke up and opened his cards; myself, mam and dad were getting excited for him to open his final present- his trip to Dubai. It had bene booked since January and it was so hard to try and keep it a secret from him, but I thought he knew about it and wouldn't be surprised. How wrong was I! He finally got around to opening his designer leather holdal and we were urging him to try and open it and see the flight details inside the bag.

Travel Journal: London

So I have just recently turned 19 and I couldn't believe it when my fantastic boyfriend told me that he would be taking me to London for a night as my present! For the past few months since finishing university I have been envious of all my friends having the chance to travel and explore the world, even just going on a summer holiday. I had already spent my money on a Spring holiday to Lanzarote so I couldn't afford another holiday or even get the time off work for a week away which was really frustrating making me feel very isolated at home. So I was obviously over the moon when my Jack told me we were going, he had obviously listened to my moaning! But to make it better, we would be staying in a studio apartment in Hyde Park and traveling there and back on the train first class!
