My Travel Bucket List

It is a very known fact that I love to travel. I enjoy seeing the world, exploring local cultures and indulging in the luxuries when I am away. I decided earlier this year that I wanted to try and visit 30 countries before I am 30 years old (just over 9 years until the deadline); and I always thought I was a well-traveled person. However after finding one of those online quizzes which tells you what percentage of the world you have visited and how many countries, I was quite underwhelmed when I discovered that I had only traveled 5.09% of the world, or 11 countries in my life of nearly 21 years. So that's 19 new countries in 9 years... Now I don't know if that goal is realistic, I don't have alot of money in the bank, but I will have a good crack at trying to achieve this goal! Anyways, this is what has inspired me to write this blog post; some of the countries I have visited before but not these particular areas of interest, so here is my bucket list of places I want to travel to...

Brighton, UK
So I won't be traveling far to go here, but it is just somewhere I have always wanted to go since I was little. I remember watching the film Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging and since then I have always wanted to go to Brighton Pier.

Dublin, Ireland
Again, not far to travel, but I have never been to Ireland! And where better to start than the capital city? I have always found it ironic that I love a good Irish bar when I am abroad, yet I have never been to Ireland!
Gibraltar
No specific place considering it is that small!  But there is something about this little place which really entices me- all the monkeys, maybe?

Paris, France
Been to France, never to Paris though. It is just one of those iconic cities that I really want to visit. I want to see the culture and have fun; so on my list is the Eiffel Tower, Arch De Triumph, eating proper French crepes and croissants and, ofcourse, Disney Land!
Rome, Italy
Not only another iconic city which I want to visit, but one of my friends decided to take an impromptu trip there alone and they said that it was the best thing they have ever done. It has so much history to the city that it is worth a visit.
Sorrento, Italy
Another Italian place I want to see, my parents went here this Summer and I was SO jealous! This place is what I have always visioned the Italian culture to be like, and my parents have said that I would love it! I also love Italian food so where better to experience my favourite cuisine than in Italy itself.
Comino, Malta
Now, I've been past this tiny island on a boat but I would love to visit for a day or 2. I am quater Maltese, and Malta feels like a home from home. I have visited many towns on Malta and taken the boat over to Gozo, but Comino is a tiny little island with nothing there; except 1 hotel and absoloute peace and tranquility. What better?

India
Branching further afield now, Indian food is my next favourite cuisine becasue they do such good vegetarian food; one of the very few reasons I want to visit India. I haven't really researched where exactly in India I want to go; somewhere that holds a lot of culture, good food and a friendly atmosphere.

Bangkok, Thailand
One of the most famous cities in the world, this is a must. You get the hustle and bustle of the city and not far away is the beautiful coasts and islands of Thailand which are stunning. Very on-trend to visit there, but it is for good reason.

New South Wales, Australia
I know a few people who decided to travel the east coast of Australia, and some have loved it so much that they decided to move there! There are so many places in the state of New South Wales that I would love to just take some time to explore this whole state and learn to surf!

California, USA
Ah, the golden state. So many places to visit in this American State! As a film lover, drama graduate and just a shopaholic, this is a place that I must visit. There is so much variety in California for me that I would love to visit; Los Angeles, San Fransisco, Beverly Hills, Universal Studios Hollywood and more. I know for sure that I won't get bored.

Las Vegas, USA
Another American city in California's neigbouring state of Nevada. Vegas is somewhere I want to visit when I know I have a lot of money! The Vegas Strip is another iconic place I really want to visit, and I also want to visit all the M&M's Worlds and Las Vegas is one that I haven't been to (Aswell as Henderson, but we can drop by there as it is still in Nevada).

There are probably so many more places, and countries, that I want to visit. Especially if I want to reach my 30 countries before I'm 30 goal as there are only 4 new countries on this list! Should have just gone Interailing...

What countries are on your bucket list? Where do you reccomend? Let me know in the comments, or Tweet me @Elisa_A__

Nars Sheer Glow Foundation and Radiant Creamy Concealer Review

When it comes to make up I always feel like the base is the one thing you need to get right to make the rest of your make up look good. That is why I always like to experiment with different primers, foundations, concealers and powders to find my ideal combinations for different occasions. After constantly seeing Nars Sheer Glow bombing around pretty much everywhere online, I decided to go into my local John Lewis (on more than one occasion) get colour matched. After toying between the samples of Deauville and Fiji for way too long, I decided to go back to John Lewis for one last time to get their opinion. After a problem in store, the girls on the counter decided to give me a full base makeover and, lets just say, I was very impressed and stuff went on my Christmas list.

My New Year Favourites

Happy New Year! 2017 was a year where I did some pretty awesome things; I graduated my MA with distinction, I was part of a team which raised £60k for charity, I got to do more travelling this year. However this year has also come with a lot of self-reflection and a lot of wake up calls. I am going into 2018 feeling lost in the world of work; with no more education to turn to and trying to find my place in society to earn a living. It's stressful and is tough, however, temporary as I am keeping positive and something will come my way! 2017 has been great for self-reflection and really focusing on myself, what I want and what I enjoy. Anyways, enough self-reflection for now! I wanted to kick start 2018 off by sharing with you some of my favourite things that are coming into the new year with me that I have been loving, will continue to use and recommend to you guys!

Mani of the Month: Primark PS Nudes Nail Polish Set

It's no secret that I love painting my own nails. It's a way for me to relax as well as being therapeutic for me. I am often complimented on my nails and asked where I get them done, only to see their shock and surprise at the fact that I do them myself and that they aren't fake! I honestly feel like my choices of nail polish reflect how people react- if I am wearing a polish which looks streaky and tacky people notice, however when my nails are done well, and with good quality polishes which are 'on trend' colours then that is when I get the most compliments. And at the moment that 'on trend' colour is anything nude. I love nude nails, and for me, I really struggle to find the perfect nude nail polish; or any kind of nude beauty products for that matter! So when I was having a scout around good old Primarni, I came across this little set of nude nail polishes. They look lovely, don't they...
